Napoli international Scott McTominay shared an Instagram post using Italian words after Napoli’s win over Lecce on Saturday.

The ex-Manchester United star has quickly become a regular starter at the Stadio Maradona and has already two goals and two assists in seven appearances across all competitions.

His €30m purchase from the Red Devils even convinced Antonio Conte to switch to a four-man defence using McTominay as an attacking midfielder.

The Scottish midfielder celebrated the latest win over Lecce with an Instagram post in which he used an Italian expression, further confirming his quick adaptation to Italian life.

McTominay posted a picture from the Lecce game and wrote “spirito di squadra”, which means “team spirit.”

Almost 1,000 fans commented on the picture, mostly Napoli fans who are delighted with the Scotsman’s performances this season.

McTominay has started the last five Serie A games for Napoli, playing the full 90 minutes. His contract at the Stadio Maradona runs out in June 2028.

Napoli are the Serie A table leaders with 22 points in nine games.
