Maui Invitational 2024: Bracket, teams, schedule for college basketball tournament

One of college basketball's most looked-forward-to Feast Week tournaments has arrived.

And while the field isn't perhaps as stacked as it has been in past years, the 2024 Maui Invitational will nonetheless still provide college basketball fans with some intriguing and high-profile matchups — with perhaps some upsets involved in the mix as well.

For many, the Maui Invitational is a guiding measure for college basketball fans and analysts to determine which of the field's eight teams have the ingredients to make the Final Four and perhaps win the national championship.

Headlining this year's field is back-to-back national champions UConn. Dan Hurley's Huskies, who are ranked No. 2 in the most recent USA Today Coaches Poll, are led by first-team preseason All-American guard Alex Karaban. The Maui Invitational will start a challenging three-game stretch for the Huskies, who will play games against Baylor, Texas and Gonzaga after returning from paradise.

The three-day multi-team event also features three other top-25 teams in the country and on KenPom: Auburn, Iowa State and North Carolina. Bruce Pearl's Tigers currently have the No. 2 adjusted offense and No. 5 adjusted defense in the country.

The tournament also features one of college basketball's biggest programs: Michigan State. After losing to Kansas in the Champions Classic two weeks ago, the Maui Invitational will be an important opportunity for Tom Izzo's squad to learn its identity for this season.

When is the Maui Invitational 2024?

The 2024 Maui Invitational will take place from Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui.

Where is the Maui Invitational 2024?

Following a one-year absence due to Hawaii wildfires in and around the island of Maui, the Maui Invitational returns to its normal venue site of the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui this year.

The Maui Invitational consists annually of eight college basketball teams. This year's Maui Invitational field includes four teams — UConn, Auburn, Iowa State and North Carolina — of the US LBM Coaches Poll entering this week.

Maui Invitational 2024 bracket

While the 2024 Maui Invitational technically began last Thursday with UNC vs. Hawaii, the tournament will officially tip off with UConn vs. Memphis on Monday, Nov. 25 at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Some intriguing first-round matchups include Auburn vs. Iowa State — the No. 2 vs. No. 9 teams in KenPom — and Dayton vs. North Carolina.
