Matthew Tkachuk visits with young fan who lost everything in LA fires

Matthew Tkachuk is a real one.

In the time since he arrived in South Florida, Tkachuk has shown over and over that in addition to being an excellent hockey player, he is an even better human being.

The latest example comes out of Los Angeles, an area that has been impacted once again by horrible fires that have consumed thousands of homes and businesses.

Through Fanatics, Tkachuk was put in touch with a young man named Liam.

Liam and his family sadly lost everything they owned in the LA fires.

Tkachuk first sent a video message to Liam in which he signed a Florida Panthers jersey for the young fan and told him he’d seem him soon, when Tkachuk and the Panthers visited Los Angeles last week.

True to his word, Tkachuk brought Liam and his family to Crypto.com Arena for a special hang out before the game, with an assist going to the Kings for hooking up the tickets.

Tkachuk also brought one of his hockey sticks for Liam and autographed it before taking a picture with him.

The best part was the look of happiness on Liam’s face during the visit, one that his parents appeared extremely grateful to Tkachuk and Fanatics for making a reality.
