Matt Rempe Sent Down To AHL With Arthur Kaliyev Joining Rangers

The New York Rangers have sent Matt Rempe to the Hartford Wolf Pack of The American Hockey League.

This comes immediately after the team claimed Arthur Kaliyev off waivers on Monday afternoon.

Throughout the 2024-25 season thus far, Rempe has been sent up and down from the AHL as he’s yet to find a solidified role following a memorable rookie year.

The 22-year-old was given an eight-game suspension for a hit on Miro Heiskanenen in December.

The addition of Kaliyev gives New York more forward depth and puts Rempe’s status with the Blueshirts in jeopardy.
