Matt Rempe Reveals His Unique Strategy To Get Under Opponent's Skin
Matt Rempe loves to play games with his opponents on the ice.
During the New York Rangers’ 5-0 win on Tuesday night over the Ottawa Senators, Rempe was seen getting into it with Brady Tkachuk.
Originally, reporters thought that Tkachuk was the player who started the smack-talking, but Rempe revealed that he was the one who indeed egged Tkachuk on.
This is not the first time Rempe tried pissing off his opponents, it’s actually a strategy of his.
“I like to go around and bump into guys randomly and piss them off,” Rempe said. “I bumped into him (Tkachuk) and then he didn’t like that I bumped into him.”
Rempe is not only an enforcer, but he’s also an agitator.
While it may not show on the stat sheet, the energy that the 22-year-old brings to the table is valuable.
He fires up the crowd, plays a bone-crushing game and always knows how to get under the opposition's skin.
Rempe is the perfect player for New York.
