Yahoo Sports Marseille set to loan Soumaïla Traoré to Versailles
Soumaïla Traoré (20) who joined Olympique de Marseille in 2022 from Mali side Djoliba AC will look to continue his professional development in the third tier of French football, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The French outlet writes that Marseille are set to send Traoré out on loan for the next six months to Championnat National side FC Versailles. There is no option for Versailles to extend this agreement or to purchase the youngster at the end of the season.
Marseille value Traoré and want to see him gain some added experience playing at a higher standard of football. For the past two seasons, Traoré has played for the Marseille Reserves in the fifth tier of French football.
Foot Mercato writes that Traoré will attend his medical in the next few hours and if all goes to plan he will be at Versailles until the end of the campaign.
