Marseille predicted XI v Monaco: Valentin Rongier to move into midfield
There aren’t any fresh injury concerns for Roberto De Zerbi to contend with as Olympique de Marseille host AS Monaco at the Vélodrome on Sunday evening.
There are still absentees, however. Derek Cornelius, Amine Harit, and Pol Lirola are the most notable. All are recovering from their respective blows but none will be fit enough to face Monaco. Valentin Rongier will, however, play a part for Marseille, as confirmed by De Zerbi. It is expected that OM’s former captain will be bumped into midfield, with Michael Murillo playing at right-back.
Often unconvincing at centre-back, Geoffrey Kondogbia will nonetheless partner captain Leonardo Balerdi, whilst up front, former Everton and Brentford forward Neal Maupay will be expected to retain his place ahead of the struggling Elye Wahi.
