Marseille negotiating agreement with Las Palmas for Álvaro Valles

Marseille negotiating agreement with Las Palmas for Álvaro Valles

It’s no secret that Olympique de Marseille are searching for a new first-choice goalkeeper with Pau López (29) looking likely to leave the club for Como 1907 after only two seasons in the south of France.

The club have considered a range of targets but according to the Spanish media and confirmed by La Provence, the club have sent an offer to Las Palmas for Álvaro Valles (26) thought to be around €10 million (including add-ons).

No homecoming for Álvaro Valles this summer

Valles had expected this summer to return to Real Betis, the club where he started his career and the city close to where he was born. However, the Spanish club have not yet been able to reach an agreement with Las Palmas for the highly-rated goalkeeper.

Marseille are hoping to convince Valles to join their burgeoning project, as discussions continue between the French side and their Canarian counterparts.
