A new Margaritaville hotel is coming to Myrtle Beach, SC. Here’s the details

A new hotel with a margarita theme could be coming to Myrtle Beach in 2025.

Compass by Margaritaville is a new 150-guestroom hotel expected to open in Myrtle Beach in early 2025, according to the company’s website.

The City of Myrtle Beach Community Appearance Board reviewed plans for the development at its Dec. 7 meeting, with board officials saying the proposed project would be a landmark for the city.

The plans were presented by representatives of Development Resource Group LLC, who declined to comment.

The planned hotel will have an indoor and outdoor pool experience, a complimentary breakfast buffet, a grab-and-go convenience store, bar and grill and other amenities.

The hotel will be on both sides of North Ocean Boulevard. The pool deck will be closest to the beach next to the Atlantica Resort towers, whereas the hotel will sit between North Ocean Boulevard and Withers Drive.

Margaritaville by Compass will have a walkway above North Ocean Boulevard for patrons who want to get from the hotel to the pool deck, and the hotel will also have surface parking.

In April 2022, the Texas-based company RH Myrtle Beach Hospitality LLC C/O KE Andrews acquired eight parcels of land for the project, according to Horry County Land Records. Seven parcels are between Withers Drive and North Ocean Boulevard and the eighth is in between the Atlantica Resort towers.

According to Horry County Land Records, each plot of land was transferred to RH Myrtle Beach Hospitality LLC C/O KE Andrews for $11.5 million. It’s unclear if the LLC paid $11.5 million separately for each plot of land or if the tracts were all purchased together for a total of $11.5 million.

The hotel was announced in February 2022, according to The Sun News.
