Marcus Stroman is just as excited about the future of the Toronto Blue Jays as anybody.

After taking the bump for his Spring Training debut and twirling a pair of scoreless innings, Stroman stated that he believes the future is now for some of the Blue Jays’ top prospects.

“I’m ready for Bo and Vladdy to be on the big-league roster, to be honest,” the right-handed pitcher told reporters. “I don’t think those guys should wait. I want them on my team. I think they could help us win, so that’s all I’m going to say there.”

While the pair of promising prospects don’t have any big-league experience and have performed almost exclusively in minor league camp, they have dazzled when given the opportunity. On March 8, both Bichette and Guerrero Jr. cracked the Blue Jays Grapefruit League lineup and did not disappoint. Guerrero went 4-for-5 with two runs scored, while Bichette ended up going 2-for-3 and swiping a bag.

“I feel like these guys are like legends that you’ve never seen,” Stroman noted. “I would love to be playing with those guys behind me.”

Although the two talented ball players have shown well when granted the opportunity, it remains highly doubtful that either will play for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2018.
