Marcus Rashford has been banned from driving for six months.

The Manchester United star was overtaking an unmarked police car when he was stopped.

Rashford, 26, was driving his Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow when he overtook an unmarked police BMW X5 just after midnight on December 12 last year.

The officer reported that his car continued to pull away, even as the police car reached speeds of 104mph.

Rashford exited the M60 at junction 3, heading towards Wilmslow on the A34, with the police in pursuit.

The officer, suspecting a change in Rashford’s driving behaviour, conducted a stop at the Eden Park Road roundabout.

Rashford confirmed his identity and explained he thought he was being followed by another vehicle, stating it was a frequent occurrence for him.

The officer reviewed the footage but found no evidence of another vehicle following Rashford. Subsequently, Rashford was issued a notice of intended prosecution.

Appearing via videolink at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court, District Judge Lucy Hogarth imposed a six-month driving ban, a £1,666 fine, a £666 victim surcharge, and £120 in court costs after Rashford pleaded guilty to the speeding offence.

This incident occurred three months after he crashed another Rolls-Royce following a match against Burnley.

Rashford did not require medical attention, and no arrests were made in that incident.

His collection of luxury cars includes several Rolls-Royces, a McLaren, and a Lamborghini.
