Arsenal take on Fulham on Sunday and much has been made of their set piece threat, but Marco Silva is not too fazed.

Speaking about the fixtures between Arsenal and Fulham last season, Silva said: “We scored twice against them in set pieces last season, and they didn’t score against us (set pieces) and let’s hope we can repeat the same.”

Asked how his side would prepare for Arsenal’s set piece threat, Silva said: “I’m not going to tell you how we will prepare for their set pieces. You can analyse last season to see what we did.”

Last season Fulham took four points off Arsenal over the two Premier League games and were something of a bogey team for the Gunners.

With how tight the margins in point totals have been at the top of the table in recent years, and with how Arsenal have suffered for it, Mikel Arteta will have made sure his players are ready for the test at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Arsenal have scored 22 goals from corners since the start of last season, the most of any team in Europe by a long way. Bayer Leverkusen are second with 17 and the next Premier League side are Manchester City with 15.

Fulham are a physically imposing team themselves, and with the way that Manchester United were exposed from corners in their meeting with Arsenal, Marco Silva will have tried to conjure up a way to deal with the Gunners’ threat.
