Marchenko's Point Streak Continues; Now At 5 Games
The Columbus Blue Jackets have been on a hot streak as of late. They are winners of five in a row and are pushing further into the playoff picture.
During this impressive run, there have been a few players who have stood out. The first one is Zach Werenski, who is making a strong case for the Norris Trophy. However, there is one other player who has put the team on his back during the last five games.
Kirill Marchenko has been lights out over the last five games. He has two goals and four assists for six points during his five-game point streak. He also scored the shootout winner against the Philadelphia Flyers to give his club the win and extend their winning streak.

The 24-year-old has already surpassed his point total from last season (42) with 48 points in 44 games, setting a new career high.
If Marchenko can maintain this pace, he could easily reach 85-90 points by the end of the season. More importantly, his strong play could help the Blue Jackets secure a playoff berth.
