The couple appeared to reveal that they were expecting back in May in a series of Instagram posts from an offseason vacation – announcing the news they were becoming parents-to-be.
Friday’s post has quickly garnered thousands of likes and comments as fans have begun to pour in their congratulations and well-wishes for the new parents. “McCormick Rielly,” Virtue captioned the post.
“This is the cutest thing. Welcome to the Leafs fam baby McCormick,” one commenter stated.
“Congratulations! So happy for you guys,” another said.
The carousel of images shows both Virtue and Rielly alongside their newborn as well as a couple of individual shots of McCormick.
Pictured here is a gracious moment between Rielly and his first son.
Rielly, 30, and Virtue, 35, got married in 2023 and have shared a rather notable low-profile, private relationship, but have nonetheless emerged as a fan-favorite couple across Leafs nation. As a dad, Rielly could be poised to channel some of his newfound ‘dad strength’ next season following his seven-goal, 58-assist 2023-24 campaign.
We at The Hockey News would like to extend our congratulations to both Morgan and Tessa for this exciting next journey in their lives.
