Mahomes, 29, has become synonymous with the Super Bowl. He's set to make his fifth Super Bowl appearance in six seasons, joining Tom Brady (10) and John Elway (5) as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to reach the Super Bowl five times.

Mahomes has walked away with the Lombardi Trophy (and Super Bowl MVP) more times than not. He's 3-1 in the Super Bowl, with his only loss coming against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55 in Tampa, FL.

• Super Bowl 54: In the Chiefs' 31-20 win over the 49ers, Mahomes completed 26 of 42 passes for 286 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also had nine carries for 29 yards and a rushing touchdown. Mahomes was sacked three times for a loss of 18 yards.

• Super Bowl 55: In the Chiefs' blowout 31-9 loss to the Buccaneers, Mahomes completed 26 of 49 passes for 270 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. He had five carries for 33 yards and was sacked four times for 27 yards.

• Super Bowl 57: In the Chiefs' 38-35 win over the Eagles, Mahomes completed 21 of 27 passes for 182 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. He added six carries for 44 yards, including a pivotal 26-yard scramble in the fourth quarter that set the Chiefs up with a game-winning field goal despite aggravating his right ankle injury earlier in the contest.

• Super Bowl 58: In the Chiefs' 25-22 overtime win over the 49ers, Mahomes completed 34 of 46 passes for 333 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He had nine carries for 66 yards, including a 19-yard scramble in overtime to move the sticks and set up his game-winning touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman Jr. Mahomes was sacked three times for a loss of eight yards during the win.
