How many Texans have won medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics?

The 2024 Paris Olympics are in full swing and medals have begun to be awarded.

The United States’ first gold medal of the Olympics came from the men’s swimming team’s victory in the 4X100 meter freestyle relay. The team consisted of by Jack Alexy, Chris Guiliano, Hunter Armstrong, and Caeleb Dressel.

Nic Fink was born in Houston. He won the silver medal in the 100-meter breaststroke winning silver.

Carson Foster swam collegiality at Texas. He won a bronze medal in the 400-meter individual medley and will compete in the 200-meter individual medley.

Simone Manuel is from Sugar Land won a silver medal for the women’s 4X100 meter freestyle relay team and will compete in the 50-meter freestyle.

Erin Gemmell swims collegiality at the University of Texas and will compete in the 200-meter freestyle.

Shaine Casas swims collegiality at Texas and will compete in the 200-meter individual medley.

Luke Hobson swam collegiality at Texas and will compete in the 200-meter freestyle.

David Johnston is from Dallas and will compete in the 1500-meter freestyle event and the open water 10k race.

Drew Kibler swam collegiality at Texas and will compete in the 4X200-meter freestyle relay.

Aaron Shackell is from Arlington and will compete in the 400-meter freestyle.
