How many athletes from TCU and other North Texas colleges are in the Paris Olympic Games?

When the Opening Ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympics are held on Friday, there will be many athletes from North Texas universities competing for countries around the world.

Who are the North Texas collegiate athletes who will compete internationally in the Summer Olympics?

TCU

Dani Alvarez and Tania Moreno will both compete for Spain in Beach Volleyball, which will be on at 5:15 on July 29.

Rhanishka Gibbs will compete for Bahamas in the 50-meter freestyle, which will be on at 4 a.m. on Aug. 3.

Jadon Wuilliez will represent Antigua in the 100-meter breaststroke which will be on at 4 a.m. on Aug. 3.

Stephanie Grundsoee will represent Denmark in the 10-meter air rifle and 50-meter rifle three positions which will begin at 7:15 a.m. on July 27.

Tomi Taiwo and Amy Okonkwo will play for team Nigeria on the women’s basketball team which begins at 4 a.m. on July 29.

Cam Norrie will represent Great Britain in Tennis which begins at 5 a.m. on July 27.

Nathaniel Ezekiel will compete in track and field for Nigeria in the 400-meter hurdles which begins at 3 a.m. on Aug. 5.

Chinecherem Prosper Nnamd will represent Nigeria and throw javelin which begins at 3 a.m. on Aug. 6.

Nuni Omot will play basketball for South Sudan which plays its first game at 4 a.m. on July 28.

John Peers will represent Australia playing doubles tennis at 5 a.m. on July 27.

Kristy Wallace will play for the Australian Women’s national basketball team which begins play at 4 a.m. on July 29.

NORTH TEXAS

Karlington Anunagba will run in the 4X100 meter relay for Nigeria, track and field begins at 3 a.m. on Aug. 8.

Carlos Ortiz will represent Mexico in golf which begins at 2 a.m. on Aug. 1.
