Manchester United on the verge of signing Galatasaray superstar Victor Osimhen
Manchester United target Victor Osimhen is expected to move to England in a sensational swap deal involving Marcus Rashford, as per reports.
Rashford’s situation at United continues to go from bad to worse under Ruben Amorim, who refused to show his trust in the 27-year-old against Newcastle United despite his side trailing the Magpies by two goals after just 20 minutes.
The Portuguese opted to bring Alejandro Garnacho and Antony off the bench to change the result in his favour and left Rashford as an unused substitute. The academy product hasn’t played a single minute for the Red Devils since mid-December.
Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming INEOS want to part ways with the forward as soon as possible.
However, the likes of Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Arsenal have all shown reluctance to spend too much on the out of favour star.
Earlier today, we covered a report which suggested United could offload Rashford in a swap deal involving Victor Osimhen, with Antonio Conte understood to be interested in adding another Red Devil to his ranks.
The Nigerian striker, who is currently at Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, is enjoying a prolific stint in Istanbul, having scored 12 goals and registered five assists across all competitions for the Turkish giants.
However, one outlet has made a bold claim concerning his future, indicating he is all set to leave.
According to a report by Nigerian outlet ThePapers, relayed by Football Transfers, the Galatasaray star, who has a £62m release clause in his contract, is on the verge of getting his dream move to the Premier League.
A source from “Osimhen’s camp” has told the paper that “Victor will move, he may wear the red colours in England, there are moves already and it is what he wants.”
The in-form striker would certainly be a promising addition to Amorim’s attack and Rashford could certainly do with new surroundings in Naples.
However, such a high-profile swap deal is never easy to complete and it is recommended to take the claim with a pinch of salt.
