Manchester United target Osimhen as Napoli set price
Manchester United have reportedly contacted Napoli-owned Victor Osimhen, needing to pay over €75m to interrupt his Galatasaray loan in January.
The centre-forward was sent out on loan to Turkey in September after summer moves to Chelsea and the Saudi Pro League fell apart.
He has made a big impression, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in 15 games between the Super Lig and Europa League.
Although there is a release clause in his contract set at €90m, and which will drop to €80m at the end of the season, it has been reported that Napoli would be prepared to let him leave in January for €75m.
There might also be a separate fee that the buying club would need to pay Galatasaray for interrupting the loan early.
Manchester United approach Osimhen and Napoli
According to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri on Sky Sports Switzerland, the latest club to set its sights on Osimhen is Manchester United.
It is claimed they already contacted his entourage and it would be ‘no problem’ agreeing personal terms with the Nigeria international.
They are struggling badly in the Premier League and want a centre-forward for new coach Ruben Amorim who better suits his style of football.
Other January contenders for Osimhen could include Paris Saint-Germain and potentially Juventus.
