Even as Leny Yoro appears to be headed towards Real Madrid, Premier League giants Manchester United seem eager to disrupt the transfer.

The 18-year-old Lille defender is a top target for Los Blancos this summer and is understood to be keen on joining the club, with a long-term contract until 2030 being in the works.

Negotiations are underway between Real Madrid and Lille to finalise a deal, but other clubs like Manchester United continue to make an effort to hijack the move.

Indeed, as per Abdellah Boulma, Manchester United have tabled a €50 million offer for Leny Yoro even as talks between Real Madrid and Lille progress in parallel.

The Red Devils are one of many suitors for the teenage defender who is also being courted by the likes of PSG and Liverpool.

Yoro, though, has informed those suitors that he wishes to play for Real Madrid only. Despite that, efforts continue to be made to try and hijack the operation.

In such an attempt, Manchester United are understood to have offered a transfer fee of €50 million for the 18-year-old centre-back.

Real Madrid have been clear that they will not spend heavily on Yoro given that his contract expires in 2025.

The idea has been to sign him for a fee worth around €40 million and talks with Lille were progressing in the right direction after the French club accepted that they needed to lower their demands.

But whether Manchester United’s offer of €50 million changes things will be interesting to see.

Real Madrid have a clear advantage owing to the fact that Yoro has his heart set on signing for them and as such, Manchester United’s efforts are likely to end up proving futile.
