Manchester United starlet nominated for Premier League 2 Player of the Month award
Academy prospect Jack Fletcher has been nominated for Premier League 2’s Player of the Month award for August.
The 17-year-old midfielder, who is the son of United legend Darren Fletcher, has been nominated with six other young players on a shortlist that was announced on Friday.
Fletcher has been nominated along with West Ham duo Joshua Ajala and Lewis Orford, Arsenal pair Khayon Edwards and Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, Nottingham Forest’s Kyle McAdam and Fulham’s Kristian Sekularac.
All nominees were selected by the Premier League Football Development Panel and the winner will be announced on Friday 13, September.

After missing United’s Premier League 2 opener against Arsenal, Fletcher scored the opening goal in a 4-1 win over Stoke City the following week.
And, in his most recent outing against Blackburn Rovers at Edwood Park, Fletcher registered two assists and increase his goal contribution tally for the season.
The midfielder has started the new season strongly and deserves his nomination for Player of the Month.
