Manchester United summer signing Matthijs de Ligt has revealed how Erik ten Hag works as a manager and how the Premier League differs from Dutch football.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was re-united with Matthijs de Ligt this summer after their time in Amsterdam Ajax.
The former Ajax coach made the Dutch defender captain who famously led the Dutch side to the Champions League semi-finals in 2018.
De Ligt has since played in Italy for Juventus and in Germany for Bayern Munich, gaining strong experience and medals since departing Amsterdam.
At 25, the former Bayern Munich star looks a solid fit for this United side, which desperately needs more leaders.

De Ligt has revealed how Ten Hag differs in Manchester from the management style he experienced with him at Ajax.
Speaking about the Dutch Coach as per the Mirror, De Ligt said: “Yes, for the most part. But the resilience in the Eredivisie is very different than here in the Premier League.
“Every club here has a manager at a very high tactical level, and you have to be able to respond to that.”
