Manchester United and Real Madrid send offers to Lille for Leny Yoro

Manchester United and Real Madrid send offers to Lille for Leny Yoro

According to Foot Mercato, despite the widespread interest in Leny Yoro (18) from clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, only two teams have made an official offer to Lille OSC for the young centre-back: Real Madrid and Manchester United.

The Spanish giants have only sent one proposal to the northern French side, an offer of €20 million that is reportedly far below Lille’s valuation for a player they hope to sell this summer. Real Madrid are willing to play hardball in the negotiations because Yoro has entered the final year of his contract and has made his intentions to join Los Blancos crystal clear.

The club hopes and expects that Lille will have to drop their asking price due to Yoro’s commitment to joining them over their European rivals – a position that has annoyed the Lille hierarchy who were hoping to capitalise on a bidding war.

Manchester United remain in the race for Leny Yoro

Foot Mercato writes that Manchester United have sent Lille a €60 million bid including bonuses (more in line with the club’s expectations) for the defender as they try to dissuade Yoro from his dream club.
