Manchester United moving fast to prepare third bid for Everton star

Manchester United are not giving up on Jarrad Branthwaite, despite seeing two bids rejected for the defender.

A third proposal is expected to be put on the table but it remains to be seen if Everton will sell their highly-rated defender this summer.

According to The Times, United are prepared to pay Branthwaite £160,000-per-week – but surely Everton will lower their excessive valuation of the player, which stands between €70m and €80m.

Everton turned down a first offer from United last month. It fell considerably short of their valuation of Branthwaite, with suggestions it was worth £35m plus add-ons.

The Toffees regard the 22-year-old as a key player after playing 35 games in the Premier League last season, although he was unlucky to miss out on a place in the England squad for Euro 2024.

United’s second bid was submitted earlier this week and they are already planning a third offer.

With Branthwaite already agreeing personal terms with United, it may be time for the centre-back to hand in a transfer request. Especially if Everton turn down a third bid for their player.
