Manchester United midfielder exit done, will join Champions League side for huge loss – Fabrizio Romano
Manchester United have agreed a deal with Girona for Donny van de Beek, with the Dutch midfielder bringing to an end a torrid four-year spell at Old Trafford, which included loan moves to Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 27-year-old will arrive at Girona for just €500k, although that could increase to €4-5m with easily met variables, reports Fabrizio Romano. More difficult objectives could see Manchester United earn a further €10m, taking the total fee to a maximum of €15m.
🚨 Donny van de Beek to Girona, here we go! Deal in place with Man United, permanent move for €500k fixed fee plus several add-ons.
Easy add-ons to bring fee up to €4/5m plus extra add-ons can make it €15m.

Van de Beek will likely use him to help cover the absences of Pablo Torre and Aleix Garcia, although it seems probable Michel Sanchez will use him further forward. It will be something of a rehabilitation job for Michel though, as he played just 378 minutes last year. United brought van de Beek in for €39m in 2020 from Ajax, and they will make at least a 62% loss, and at most a 99.7% loss on the Dutchman, with little during his spell to offset that.
