Manchester United will not take up the 20m euro (£16.8m) option to buy midfielder Sofyan Amrabat this summer, according to the reliable Fabrizio Romano.

The Moroccan struggled during his loan spell at Old Trafford from Fiorentina in 2023/24, but impressed in the FA Cup final win over Manchester City.

Now back with La Viola, Romano claims that United's interest in the 27-year-old is not dead and they may revisit a deal on other terms this summer despite opting not to exercise the buy option written into his temporary stint at the Theatre of Dreams.
