Manchester City will be without six players for Club Brugge fixture
Manchester City must beat Club Brugge tomorrow night at the Etihad to progress in the UEFA Champions League. If they lose or draw their Champions League campaign is over. That’s the equation that Pep Guardiola’s side is confronted with tomorrow night. Heading into the crucial fixture they will be without six players for the must-win match. Three players are out due to injury and three more are ineligible for the clash with Club Brugge.
Manchester City trained earlier today ahead of tomorrow’s crucial match. In the video shared on mancity.com Rodri, Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake all failed to train. That isn’t a surprise as all three are currently out injured. Rodri was pictured in training gear alongside Manchester City legend Fernandinho. City’s midfield general hasn’t returned to training but it was good to see him back observing his team’s training ahead of their crucial Champions League fixture.

Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis are all ineligible for tomorrow night’s match. They will be hoping that their team can beat Club Brugge so they have the opportunity to be added to City’s Champions League squad for the remainder of the competition. All three players would’ve been handy to have for tomorrow’s match for Pep Guardiola, but that isn’t the case.
Despite missing six players for tomorrow night’s match Manchester City do have a strong squad to pick from. The hope is that the players who do take to the pitch tomorrow can do the job and beat Club Brugge to book City’s place in the next stage of the UEFA Champions League.
