Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has the best dribble success rate among all players to have attempted at least ten take-ons in Europe’s top five leagues this season.

The England international has played in all three Premier League games this term and has completed 10 out of 12 dribbles (83.3%).

The dribble success rate of the Man United is more than Lamine Yamal, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Kylian Mbappe.

While the aforementioned quartet have attempted and completed more dribbles than Mainoo having played a game more, their success rate is not better than his.

Yamal has attempted 37 dribbles, completing 15 (40.5%), Mbappe has attempted 24 dribbles, completing 14 (58.3%), while Vinicius has attempted 31 take-ons but managed to complete only 12 (38.7%).

Rodrygo only completed six of the 15 dribbles (40%) he has attempted.

An impressive dribble success rate is not the most important thing in football, especially if it does not result in victories.

However, it signifies how effective a player is when it comes to getting past players, and Mainoo is currently one of the best in the job right now.

Unfortunately for the 19-year-old, the Red Devils have lost two of their three games this term as he was unable to influence proceedings in the final third in their last two matches.

Mainoo was at fault for the third goal against Liverpool in their 3-0 defeat last Sunday after he was dispossessed, and he will look to improve as the season progresses.

The Red Devils return to action on September 14 with a trip to face newly-promoted Southampton, and the teenage sensation and his teammates will be desperate to return to winning ways.
