Man United have reportedly had a £50m transfer bid for teenager Leny Yoro accepted by Lille.

Real Madrid have been in talks with the French club over the possibility of a deal for the 18-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Liverpool and PSG.

Lille are hoping to strike a deal worth £33.8 million (€40m) for the centre-back, but Foot Mercato claim that Los Blancos have only offered £16.8m (€20m).

With Yoro’s contract set to expire in 2025, Real are said to be willing to play hardball in negotiations, while the player reportedly wants a move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and is willing to play out one more season in France before leaving on a free transfer.

Foot Mercato claim that Man United have tabled an offer worth £50.6m (€60m), which transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Lille have accepted, but they have to convince Yoro to move to Old Trafford.

Romano claims that Real are “very relaxed and calm” about the situation, and would be happy to wait until next summer to sign the youngster.

The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with Lille last season, making 32 Ligue 1 appearances in the centre of defence to help the club qualify for the Uefa Champions League.

Real Madrid are looking to sign a new defender following the departure of Nacho Fernandez, while Man Utd are in the market for reinforcements to their own backline after Raphael Varane left Old Trafford. They have been linked with Matthijs de Ligt and Jarrad Branthwaite.
