Man United consider Manuel Ugarte untouchable
Summer recruit Manuel Ugarte is seen as one of the few Manchester United players who is indispensable to the club moving forward.
United fans started the year with the news that their financial situation is so dire that practically every player is for sale at the right price.
This is due to pressures to comply with PSR regulations and also the realisation that only selling players and removing certain salaries off the wage bill will allow the Red Devils to sign the players they desire to improve the team.
Surprisingly, it has been reliably reported that stars such as Bruno Fernandes and academy heroes Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho would be sold if an attractive offer came in.
Nonetheless, Leny Yoro has been described as “untouchable” and with Amad Diallo signing a new long term deal yesterday, it seems highly unlikely the club would listen to any offers for the Ivorian.
According to GIVEMESPORT, new signing Manuel Ugarte is another player who can be added to the miniscule list of players the club will not sell.
The website reports, “Ugarte, in particular, has been described by club sources as one of the Red Devils’ most impactful signings in years.”
“His presence in midfield has elevated the team’s performance, and the prospect of him leaving is firmly off the table.”
The Uruguayan endured a rough start to his Old Trafford career but since Ruben Amorim has come in as the manager, he has performed wonderfully and arguably been the best performer at the club.
He has put in dominant performances away to both Manchester City and Liverpool, winning countless duels and providing valuable energy in the middle of the park.
The Uruguay international is also only 23 years old meaning there is hopefully much further growth and improvement possible in his game.
Moreover, Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation is reliant upon energy bunnies in the middle of the park and Ugarte is currently the only senior midfielder who can adequately perform this role in the side.
