Manchester City remain interested in possible deals for three Serie A players despite having spent over €150m during the January transfer window, including two Juventus stars and one of Gian Piero Gasperini’s midfield engines at Atalanta.

Pep Guardiola’s side officially announced the signing of Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, becoming the most expensive Premier League signing of the window at €75m. The Citizens have also signed Abdou Khusanov for €40m and Vitor Reis for €37m.

However, despite spending over €150m in January, City are still looking to strengthen as they look to improve on their current fifth place ranking in the Premier League, according to reports in the UK.

Thursday’s reports from The Times claim that Juventus are still interested in a deal for Italy international Andrea Cambiaso. Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday morning claimed that City are preparing to submit an official offer for him within the next few days.

There have also been suggestions that City have made attempts to sign Douglas Luiz, who spent two years in Manchester before moving to Aston Villa and then Juve in the summer. The Bianconeri are not open to sending him out on loan as things stand, though.

The Times also report that Atalanta’s Ederson is still of interest to rejuvenate an ageing City midfield, which currently includes Ilkay Gundogan (34), Kevin De Bruyne (33) and Bernardo Silva (30).
