Pep Guardiola has an increasingly strong squad to choose from as Manchester City return to form.

New signings Omar Marmoush and Abdukodir Khusanov started in Saturday’s win over Chelsea, while Vitor Reis was on the bench and John Stones came on for his first Premier League appearance in a month.

Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias are both currently out, though, while Oscar Bobb and Rodri remain on the sidelines as they have been for a number of months.

Here’s a look at the latest Manchester City injuries...

Ruben Dias

Ruben Dias had to be replaced in Man City’s Champions League defeat to PSG last week.

Guardiola revealed the centre-back had picked up an abductor problem and he was not fit enough to make the squad against Chelsea.

The City boss said: “I don’t know yet [how long he will be out for]… He was stable, always was able to play a lot of games, but this season started to, yeah… It is what it is.”

Potential return: Unknown

Nathan Ake

Injuries have meant Nathan Ake has started only seven Premier League matches so far this season.

The last of those came against Brentford earlier this month but the defender has since missed games against Ipswich, PSG and Chelsea.

No update has been provided by the club on the nature of his injury.

Potential return: Unknown

Oscar Bobb

Oscar Bobb is closing in on making his first appearance of the season after recovering from a fractured leg.

Speaking two weeks ago, Guardiola revealed the 21-year-old had made a return to training.

“I don’t think he needs too much time to get fit and to get ready,” the City boss said.

“In the last two days he made partial training and that’s good news for us. In a few things he has special qualities that he showed us in preseason. Come the second part [of the season] hopefully he can help us.”

Potential return date: February 2025

Rodri

Rodri underwent surgery on an ACL injury and that is likely to keep him out for the rest of the season.

However, the midfielder has not ruled out making a return in time for the Club World Cup in the summer.

Rodri said: “I’m aiming to play this season.

“Now the seasons are getting longer and the Club World Cup ends on 13 July. I have in mind to return this year, as a challenge.

Potential return date: Summer 2025
