Man City’s Ederson the latest to back Real Madrid star for Ballon d’Or
Manchester City star Ederson has on Saturday tipped Real Madrid attacker and fellow countryman Vinícius Jr. to lift the Ballon d’Or.
The subject of the upcoming Ballon d’Or ceremony has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across Europe for several weeks now.
This comes with the next ‘Golden Ball’ winner now just a matter of a fortnight from being unveiled.
As things stand, it is Vinícius Jr. who leads the way when it comes to the bookmakers’ favourites, ahead of Blancos teammate Jude Bellingham, and Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
And one individual of the opinion that, if Viní ultimately goes on to be named world football’s best, it will have been fully deserved, comes in the form of the aforementioned Ederson.
Speaking in an interview with TNT Sports Brazil on Saturday, the Brazilian international was asked for his pick for the upcoming Ballon d’Or.
And Ederson did not hesitate, in responding:
“Ballon d’Or? I hope Viní Jr wins it. He deserves it for everything he did last season.”
