Man City Director of Football 'set to step down'
Manchester City Director of Football Txiki Begiristain is set to step down from his role at the end of the season, according to a report in The Athletic.
The report suggests that this is a move that has been planned for some time, and that the club is fully on board with it.
Man City are said to have an agreement in place with Begiristain’s successor, who will start in early 2025 with a six-month handover period.
The 60-year-old is widely regarded as having a huge role in the success of boss Pep Guardiola, having joined the club back in 2012.
