Mallorca manager Jagoba Arrasate has a blessed problem: he has three very good goalkeepers to come from. Predrag Rajkovic was the starter last season, although he is being pushed by backup Dominik Greif and rising star Leo Roman, who is off the back of an excellent loan spell at Real Oviedo.

At least one will be leaving this summer, and right now, the favourite to go is Rajkovic – because he has the highest value. As per Marca, a €10m deal has already been agreed between Mallorca and Al-Ittihad, who have also agreed personal terms with the Serbian ‘keeper.

The problem for Mallorca is that Al-Ittihad are in no rush to confirm the deal. Rajkovic is not their priority ‘keeper signing – currently, that is Porto’s Diogo Costa. If they cannot secure a deal for him, it’s likely that they will fall back on to the one with the Balearic side.

Rajkovic’s sale will be a valuable one for Mallorca, as it will allow key additions to be made to Arrasate’s squad for the upcoming season. On top of this, the quality in between the posts should not drop too much, if at all.
