Mahomes injured his right ankle in the fourth quarter of a 21-7 Kansas City Chiefs win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday in Cleveland.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said the ankle is not broken and called Mahomes "day-to-day." He said Mahomes wanted to return to the game, but the Chiefs held him out. Mahomes said he will "try to get ready for next week."
