The 31-year-old made 203 appearances for the Blues before joining Spanish giants Real Madrid on a free in 2022, where he plays under former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Rudiger praises Nicolas Jackson
Fans were disappointed to see Rudiger leave the club and would loved him to have stayed longer, but in a recent interview on The Inside Scoop Podcast he stated that he was really for happy for Jackson following his start to the season.
“I’m very happy, especially for Nicolas Jackson that he’s getting his goals now, because overall I think the player is fantastic, he was just a little bit unlucky with his finishing,” he said.
“I’m sure he will improve because his overall game is really, really good.”
Jackson arrived at Chelsea from Spanish side Villarreal last summer for £32m and despite not many people knowing much about him he impressed in his debut season with 17 goals in all competitions, 14 of which came in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old could have had more goals by his own admission and he missed a lot of chances, which he received a lot of criticism for.
Many expected the Blues to sign a striker this summer and a lot was made of their failure to do so but Jackson’s start to the season has shown that may not have been a bad thing.

The Senegal international has four goals and three assists from the first six games and is keeping the free scoring Christopher Nkunku out of the side.
Having been given the night off against Gent on Thursday, Jackson will likely lead the line against Nottingham Forest on Sunday and you wouldn’t bet against him adding to his goal tally.
