I’m NOT a MOANER! Trossard DISAGREES with Arteta as Arsenal winger targets Champions League glory

Leandro Trossard has disagreed with Mikel Arteta’s claim that the Arsenal winger is a ‘bit of a moaner’, insisting it’s part of his winning mentality.

The Belgian has been one of Arsenal’s most consistent performers, with injuries to many key stars threatening to derail the Gunners’ season.

Trossard has made 31 appearances across all competitions, scoring five times, including the winner against Tottenham last week.

His form has earned praised from Arteta but the Spaniard’s claim that Trossard likes to ‘moan’ has been rejected by the winger.

“I wouldn’t use moan,” he joked ahead of Arsenal’s clash against Dinamo Zagreb.

“I’m just a winner and if a decision goes against me and I think it’s unfair, I take that really personally, I would say.

“Whether that’s in training or in games. That’s how I am. I want to win every game and I think that should be in the mindset of every football player.

Trossard is set to make his 100th Arsenal appearance tomorrow evening, just under two years since he joined the club from Brighton.

“I was surprised when they told me. It’s been so quick already,” he continued.

“Time flies but I’m really happy obviously that I have that mark tomorrow evening. I’m had such a great time already and hopefully in the next amount of time I’ll have the same impact and hopefully by winning something as well.”
