Lyon’s Saïd Benrahma in advanced negotiations with Saudi Arabian club Neom SC

According to Foot Mercato, Olympique Lyonnais attacker Saïd Benrahma (29) is nearing a move to Saudi Arabia. The former West Ham forward is in advanced negotiations with Neom SC over a move before the end of the winter transfer window.

Lyon need to sell players before the close of the January transfer window to avoid potential relegation to Ligue 2 for poor financial mismanagement. Benrahma was identified as high on the list of players to be sold in the winter window and that eventuality appears to have been reached.

Les Gones have already secured three sales this winter, and Benrahma could soon be the fourth, with the Algerian international winger in advanced negotiations over a move away from the Groupama Stadium. It remains to be seen what the fee would be for the 29-year-old forward. The forward has made 22 appearances in all competitions for OL this season, scoring three goals.
