Orel Mangala (26) only arrived from Nottingham Forest in January. The Belgian midfielder joined on an initial loan deal, which was made permanent earlier this summer.

However, since arriving at OL, Mangala has failed to convince and the imminent arrival of USMNT midfielder Tanner Tessmann threatens his place in the side. As a result, Les Gones are trying to facilitate an exit for Mangala. The former Nottingham Forest midfielder is now on the verge of a return to the Premier League, according to a report from L’Équipe.

He is set to head out on loan to Everton, a club that Lyon owner John Textor is in the process of purchasing. It is thought that the Toffees are offering a straight loan and are willing to pay his whole salary for the duration of the season. OL are desperate to offload players between now and the closure of the transfer window, having spent heavily in January and earlier this summer.
