Independent of each other, football pre-game rituals and the haka — a traditional Maori celebratory dance — are chill-inducing.

Combine the two and you just might be filled with enough adrenaline to take on the world all by yourself. Or at least that was the hope for Breiden Fehoko’s family as the junior LSU defensive end marched into Tiger Stadium ahead of a College Football Playoff-altering upset of No. 2 Georgia.

Watch as Fehoko greets his father outside the locker room before the two break out a fierce haka that probably had the Bulldogs shook before they even knew what was happening.

Fehoko’s father, Vili, was a longtime entertainer at University of Hawaii games as “Vili the Warrior,” so it’s no surprise to see such an epic performance from him.

It’s not just the slamming of the fence or the stunned look from the crowd that’s most impressive here, either. It’s that Fehoko was fully clad in a suit and tie and still brought all the intensity that the haka demands.

Maybe it’s no surprise either that Fehoko tallied two tackles as the Tigers held Georgia to 322 total yards — Georgia’s lowest output of the season. Here’s to hoping we see the Fehokos break this out again before another big game. Maybe against Alabama on Nov. 3?
