Chicago Steel goaltender Louka Cloutier has committed to Northeastern, it was announced late last week.

Cloutier, a 2024 fifth round pick of the Colorado Avalanche, has made 14 appearances with the Steel this season, putting up a record of 4-9-0 to go along with a 4.54 GAA and a .871 SP.

In his rookie season with the Steel in 2023-24, the product of Sherbrooke, Que., put up a record of 14-14-2, a GAA of 3.68 and a .904 SP. He also made two playoff appearances, going 1-0-1 while putting up a 2.20 GAA and a .935 SP.

While Cloutier may not have had the start to the season he hoped for, his talent is undeniable. He moves well in his net and has the ability to track pucks through traffic. Scheduled to join the Huskies for 2026, Cloutier still has a while to find his game again at the USHL level before making the jump to the NCAA.
