Looking Back At The Best Moments From Logan Cooley's Franchise Record
All good things really do come to an end.
After Utah lost a hard fought game against the Dallas Stars in overtime, Utah's Logan Cooley ended the game without an assist or goal for the first time since Nov. 21. In that game, Utah was shutout by the Boston Bruins 1-0.
Before the loss against Dallas, Cooley had the longest active streak in the NHL. Cooley’s streak ends as the third longest road point streak among the NHL this season with only Tampa's Brayden Point and Minnesota's Kirill Kaprizov having longer streaks.
Cooley was able to get a point in 12 straight games and played a big part in Utah's franchise record of 7 consecutive road wins. Point reached 14 straight games while Kaprizov got 13 straight.
Overall, Utah had a 9-3 road game record during Cooley's point streak.
With stretches like these being rare, let’s take the opportunity to look at some of Cooley's best moments.

While there were some games that Cooley got two points, I chose this game due to Cooley being able to break a tie with his goal. With this game also resulting in a win, it truly felt like Cooley made a play that had a huge impact on the entirety of this game.
This game also was Utah's first matchup against the Flyers this season, so getting a win felt extra special. Utah also remained over .500 ever since winning this game.
Best Goal:

The reason I chose this goal was because it was the 12th game Cooley got a point and ensured his franchise record. It also was a 5-3 win against the Calgary Flames, so getting a record breaking goal in a win makes it that much sweeter.
With Flames captain Mikael Blacklund also losing his stick earlier in the play, it felt as though Utah needed to capitalize on this power play. With a 6-on-4 advantage, Cooley was able to get the important goal on route to Utah’s win.
Best Assist:

While there were games that saw Cooley getting two assists, I went with this game because it was a very competitive and low scoring game. Any points that happened in this game mattered a ton.
Cooley being able to win the face off on a power play opportunity proved to be vital for this goal from Utah's Dylan Guenther to happen. It also ended up being the goal that won the game.
This was also the game that saw Utah get a franchise record 7 consecutive road wins.

While Utah won't be on the road for a while, due to its next seven games being at home, hopefully Cooley can look to start a new point streak at home.
Up next for Utah is its first season matchup against the Florida Panthers. The Panthers have 50 points and are currently the second best team in the Atlantic division.
A win against the Panthers would be a big boost for Utah as it looks to stop its three game losing streak at home. Utah currently is 5-7-4.
The game will have start at 8 p.m. MT and be on TNT/ truTV or be available to stream on Max.
