Liverpool players have returned to pre season testing for the first time under new manager Arnie Slot and there is a new look at Kirkby.

The club launched its new Nike training range alongside the new kit earlier this month and stars not taking part in the Copa America or European Championships donned the new gear for their first day under Arnie Slot.

The club has released images of Northern Ireland right back Conor Bradley wearing the new grey training kit with number 84 - hinting he will retain the squad number for the new 2024/25 season. Sepp Van Den Berg was also spotted smiling as he entered the training complex despite rumours of the centre half attracting transfer interest.

Another player who may not still be at the club after the summer transfer window is Fabio Carvalho, who could leave the club after a successful loan at Hull City. He was also spotted grinning as pre season gets underway for the first time without legendary manager Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool's new manager Arnie Slot has been spotted chatting to Jarell Quansah, who is back in training after his time with the expanded England squad in the pre-Euro 2024 friendlies.

The players are wearing Liverpool's new 2024/25 training kit. The grey shirts and track suit tops are being worn by the players, while manager Arnie Slot and his team are sporting the black training kit launched last month. The club has revealed the training kit has proved a hit with fans, with the grey shirt the second best seller of the summer from the Nike range.

The best-seller is the pre match shirt yet to be seen worn by the players on the first day of training. The red AXA-sponsored shirt features a pattern showcasing Liverpool's badges from the 1970s to the present day and has been described by some fans as 'better than the home shirt'. Priced at £55 and on sale now, it is the best-selling Liverpool training item of the summer according to sources at the club's retail department.

The pictures show the first day of testing before a selection of players return for full pre season training. South American stars such as Luiz Diaz and Darwin Nunez will return later in the summer after appearing at the Copa America, while a host of stars led by Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and current tournament top scorer Cody Gakpo will have some time off after the Euro 2024 tournament ends.
