Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all continuing to monitor Ivan Toney’s situation at Brentford this summer.

Toney is into the final season of his contract at Brentford and has expressed a desire to leave the Bees this summer for a club competing in European competition.

Thomas Frank admitted in February that it was ‘relatively obvious’ Toney would ‘probably be sold’ in the summer due to his contract situation, though claimed the England international was worth £100m.

“It is relatively obvious that Ivan Toney will probably be sold this summer,” Frank said to Danish media, via Tipsbladet.

“£100m plus?… What would you pay for a striker that guarantees you 20-plus goals? And this is 20 goals for a mid-table club. What can he do in a bigger club?

“We also know what he is worth. I don’t think there are many strikers in the world who are better than him right now.”

Brentford have since lowered those demands but no concrete bids have been forthcoming. Arsenal are prioritising the signing of a central midfielder once a deal for Riccardo Calafiori has been completed, though have expressed interest in Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are considering multiple options, including Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez.

Spurs appear the likeliest suitors for Toney but The Football Faithful has been informed that none of the London trio have ruled out a deal for the forward.

However, interested sides are still prepared to wait to increase the pressure on the West Londoners to sell for a lower fee as the deadline approaches.
