Winnipeg will ice a lineup featuring defenceman Haydn Fleury paired with veteran blueliner Colin Miller on Tuesday night in New York.
Logan Stanley did not make the three-game road trip.
According to head coach Scott Arniel, Stanley will miss some time with what he is calling a 'mid-body' injury.
On the other side of things, Winnipeg Free Press reporter Ken Wiebe shared from New York that previously injured defenceman Ville Heinola has shed his non-contact sweater and participated fully for the first time since training camp.
Heinola left the team following an infection stemming from his surgically repaired ankle which kept him off the team last year.
Winnipeg will take on the Rangers at 6:00 PM central on Tuesday, before travelling further south for games against Tampa Bay and Florida as the week wears on.
Fleury, who has not dressed for the Jets since October 18 will get back into the fold for the first time in 12 games.
