On-loan Real Madrid star sends message of support to Federico Valverde after Athletic Club

On-loan Real Madrid talent Álvaro Rodríguez has forwarded a heartfelt message of support the way of Blancos star Federico Valverde.

This of course comes fresh off an evening to forget for Valverde on Wednesday.

En route to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Athletic Club, Real’s ‘Mr. Reliable’ was responsible for the rarest of mistakes.

After attempting to dribble the ball out from deep inside his own half, Valverde was caught in possession, opening the door for Gorka Guruzeta to break free and slot home the game’s winner late on.

Real Madrid’s stars, coaches and fans alike have since been quick to make clear their support for the midfielder, who looked nothing short of crestfallen following the full-time whistle at San Mamés.

And, as alluded to above, such voices have today been added to by a member of the Blancos’ loan army.

Taking to the comments section of Valverde’s post-match Instagram post, Álvaro Rodríguez, plying his trade with Getafe for the season, wrote:

‘You’re human bro, I can’t remember when the last time was you made a mistake.. on to the next one!!! I love you guacho I’m with you’
