Premier League legend Alan Shearer has put out his Manchester United vs Chelsea predictions for today as The Blues get ready to face United.

Chelsea go to Old Trafford to play against United in their next Premier League game later this afternoon in the final game of super Sunday.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea pick main candidate for new full back transfer pursuit!

Yesterday saw a number of wild results in the Premier League, showing just how unpredictable this league can be these days and how strong many other teams are.

Manchester City lost to Bournemouth, Arsenal lost against Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest beat West Ham 3-0 at home! Liverpool fought hard to get a win against Brighton to stay top of the league, but it’s all looking rather close up there at the moment, and Chelsea are well in the mix.

But today will certainly be another unpredictable game, with United sacking Erik Ten Hag last week and putting a caretaker manager in place in the shape of Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

Maresca will want a response today

“When a manager leaves and another comes in, there’ll be a different atmosphere, a renewed hope and belief at Old Trafford on Sunday, with or [Ruben] without Amorim, especially after Man United scored five goals in the Carabao Cup,” Shearer told the Metro.

“I was at St James’ for Chelsea’s trip in midweek, and it was a completely changed team from the league game between the two, and the side he puts out against Man United will be different again. It’s a tough one to call and probably why I’ll go for a score draw. I fancy both teams to score because both teams can improve defensively, and the added detail of a new manager in the dugout at Old Trafford for the first in the Premier League, whether that’s Ruben or Ruud, means Man Utd can get something out of this game.”
