Liverpool XI vs Everton – Predicted lineup and team news
Arne Slot will get his first taste of the Merseyside Derby this weekend when Liverpool take on Everton.
It’s a clash of huge significance for both teams and will be the last-ever Merseyside Derby staged at Goodison Park. Liverpool head into the clash after a thrilling 3-3 draw at Newcastle in midweek and Slot will hope his side can return to winning ways.
The Reds boast a healthy lead in the Premier League title race but saw their lead slashed to seven points on Wednesday night.

Liverpool team news
Liverpool will be without Alexis Mac Allister through suspension after the Argentinian was shown his fifth yellow card of the league campaign at Newcastle. Slot has confirmed that Alisson Becker is still not fit to return in goal, while Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa are edging closer to returns. The latter played an hour for the u-21 side on Wednesday night.
Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley and Kostas Tsimikas are all facing longer periods on the sidelines.
“[The midfield line] is not our main worry at the moment, our main worry is if you look at how close they are all back of [having] playing time, there’s only three injuries left and that’s in our last line,” Slot said at his pre-match press conference.
“With Diogo being close to being back, Federico being close to being back, and the same for Alisson. Ibou [Konate], Conor [Bradley] and Kostas [Tsimikas] are a bit further away from playing time.”
