Liverpool could be set to recall captain Jordan Henderson to the starting XI for the Premier League clash against Javi Gracia’s Watford at Anfield.

Henderson, 28, was on the bench for the defeat against Manchester United, and with Liverpool aiming to claw back ground in the race for 2018/19 Champions League qualification, Klopp could turn to the English midfielder to steady the ship.

Watford defender Craig Cathcart is back in contention for selection after recovering from a hip problem, though Tom Cleverely, Gerard Deulofeu, Nathaniel Chalobah, Younes Kabul and Isaac Success remain sidelined.

Under Gracia, Watford have been in fine form, winning three of their last five and rising to 10th in the table with 36 Premier League points. Saturday’s trip to Anfield will be a true test for this Watford side, though they have proven their ability to compete with the top-six in recent weeks, defeating Chelsea 4-1.
